Is Sense the only skin and beauty care line formulated without added Parabens ?
There are other products that make "Paraben-free" claims, which can mean those products were formulated without Parabens. However, this claim does not address the issue of formaldehyde donors.
You may also see claims made for "natural preservatives" - these products very often use essential oils such as tea tree oil or grapefruit seed oil. These "natural preservatives" do not lend themselves to variations in formulas needed to produce an entire line of products; in other words, they have limited use and at times their effectiveness as a preservative or anti-microbial agent is questionable.
USANA's scientists have ordered third-party laboratories to evaluate some of the products that claim to be free from parabens and/or "Preservative Free." In several cases, those evaluations showed significant contamination in well-known competitor's products.
